- Summary
- Pathe synopsis: The strongest man in Ireland: quite a claim, begorrah, but one amply demonstrated by Butty Sugrue at a London gymnasium. Casually, he picks up pretty singer Margaret Ross with his teeth, while she is comfortably seated in a kitchen chair. Butty also hefts an enormous weight on to his shoulders, suspends two 13-stone athletes from the weights, then perches Margaret on top. With this little lot he executes a casual waltz. [filmed at Joe Bloom’s Gymnasium, London]
