- Summary
- NoS Summary - The Daylight Advisory Service of the Pilkington glass company advises architects designing schools. At Ruffwood Comprehensive School at Kirkby, Lancashire, light readings are taken.
- Researcher Comments
- Commentary: A big British glass manufacturer has started a Daylight Advisory Service to architects planning our new glass-and-concrete buildings - the first such service in the world. We visit the scientific dome where they can subject model buildings to the sky-light situation you would get when there was intense sunlight on the one hand, or typical Lancashire rain. We go to the actual school, too, whose model we tested, to see them check results.
