Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Wavell in Singapore (Singapore’s Ordeal). DESCRIPTION: The defence of Singapore involves everyone, and the defences are being continually increased. SHOTLIST: General Wavell inspects & chats with men of Singapore, Indian, British & Australian Armies. Armoured cars exercise in a plantation, reinforcements arrive & AA guns are on the alert as "Hurricanes" fly overhead. Street scenes show the Chinese & Malays carrying on as usual. General Wavell says goodbye & leaves by air.
