- Pathe synopsis: Every morning a young postman sets out to deliver mail to the lonely people who live on islands in Poole Harbour. He delivers milk, bread and papers too, to Brownsea, Round and Furzey islanders, navigating the tricky sand and mussel banks in his own private motor launch. It’s a romantic job for Alan Marsh, who two years ago was a postal messenger boy.
