MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: New Archbishop of Canterbury Enthroned. DESCRIPTION: Dr William Temple is enthroned as the ninety-sixth Archbishop of Canterbury. SHOTLIST: The new Archbishop arrives at the West door and a fan-fair of trumpets sounds. The new Archbishop is conducted through the nave and the choir to the High Altar. There is the singing of a hymn and then the Dean offers up a prayer. The new Archbishop is Dr Temple. General views of congregation and interiors of Canterbury Cathedral, also exterior views.
