- Summary
- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Submarine Patrol. DESCRIPTION: Our cameraman films onboard a T-class submarine and captures the daily operations whilst it is on patrol. SHOTLIST: General shots of life on board one of His Majesties Submarines. The crew are seen at lunch and one of them in his small bed, where he can relax. Suddenly the Klaxon blows for action station. Officers seen at the periscope. Taking the range of enemy convoy, then the signal is given to fire and it is apparent from the smiles on the faces of the crew that a hit has been scored. On returning to port they fly the Jolly Roger in addition to the white Ensign. This Jolly Roger shows in various markings, the extent of the submarines individual successes. There are also exterior shots of the submarine diving and surfacing. Shots of the periscope cleaving across the water. This submarine is more than likely the ‘Thrasher’ or ‘Thunderbolt’.
