MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: ‘Squalus’ Raised. DESCRIPTION: The story of the "Squalus" is told by President Roosevelt himself. SHOTLIST: The story starts with library scenes of the ‘Squalus’ being raised after she foundered in 1939. Other scenes show the ‘Squalus’ being re-initiated as USS Sailfish and leaving port. The story was released on the ‘Sailfish’ returning to port after several successful actions against Japanese fishing. The story illustrates remarks by President Roosevelt.
