Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Washington Club Opened. DESCRIPTION: A Club for American forces was opened in London by Mr Winant, the American Ambassador. General Eisenhower, the newly appointed C-in-C United States Army in Europe, was also there. SHOTLIST: Mr and Mrs Winant arrive at the Eagle club for opening ceremony. Admiral Stark is there and also General Eisenhower. The later makes a short, sharp speech and so does Mr Winant. Afterwards there are doughnuts for the boys and a good dance.
