Director Oveta Culp Hobby takes first contingent of officer candidates for the Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps to Fort Dos Moines, Iowa. 3. Colonel Hobby orders contingent into waiting buses, which moves off. 4. Checked in by Army Sergeant, the girls are medically examined - preludes to regulation typhoid shots. 5. Girls then have dinner. 6. Uniforms issued.
