- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Convoy to India. DESCRIPTION: Defence of India is vital to the cause of the United Nations and in spite of the Congress attitude, Indians and Britons stand together for Freedom. SHOTLIST: Largest convoy ever to leave British shores arrives in India. Ship after ship arrived safely and lay quietly a anchor in the blazing sun, with the coastline of India as a background. In the stifling heat the troops prepared to disembark, he means of barge, with troops came much equipment. Troops came ashore by means of cranes. They then fall in line and parade with Indians who were there to receive them. Many aerial shots of convoy, which included the Navy, also shots from water edge. CU of officers and men. CU Captains, also of anchor running out. Cannot give names of ships near battleships or Officer as they are censored. Excellent shot of many ships lying at anchor in the harbour.
