- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Churchill Returns to London. DESCRIPTION: Mr Churchill arrives back from the Middle East and Moscow, to be greeted by Mrs Churchill and Cabinet members. SHOTLIST: Mrs Churchill & Officers on aerodrome. Night shot of plane in air. Liberator landing on aerodrome, taxiing across (Silhouette). Sil. of Churchill getting out, and walking to Mrs C and kissing her, while Portal looks on. Churchill (Mrs & Mr) & Portal in a group (sil.). Silhouette of pilots. Train running into Euston Station, Mrs C & C descend, welcomed by Mr Eden who shakes hands with him, Mr Maisky & Madame. Mr Attlee and various other MPs are seen in the crowds, through which Mr Churchill is making his way followed by Mr Harriman. CU Churchill, Harriman & Brooke. Police holding crowds back. CU Madame & Mr Maisky. Churchill is dressed in the uniform of an Air Commodore. Air Commodore Kingston-McCloughry was also in the group awaiting the plane.
