- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Xmas Toys. DESCRIPTION: The men of the National Fire Service have been busy making toys and dolls for Christmas. Others too have been working to bring joy to children including the Red Cross and St John, the WVS and Nursery Schools. SHOTLIST: Cut story - CU baby playing with doll. Shot of chimney, fireman climbing off roof by means of ladder. AFS fireman manipulating model turntable. Shots of various types of dolls. Cut-in of blitz area. Shots of model ships, locomotives etc. Red Cross & St John’s Nurses making miniature of themselves CD men making models of tanks, ships etc. Group of toys. Mrs Collyer of Dartford making clothes for dolls; also Mrs Knowles (eighty years old) making clothes by means of sewing machine. GS nursery. Firemen arriving with toys for children.
