- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Crushing the Japs By Sea and Air. DESCRIPTION: The war in the South West Pacific, is so far a war of islands, New Guinea, New Britain, New Georgia. American destroyers bombard the Japanese airfield at Munda, whilst the bombing from the air is carried on. SHOTLIST: Planes over Kahili bomb Jap Cruiser. Bombs explode around same - aerial. B24’s fire at the shore at Lae and also rake enemy landing barges. Aerial of American Destroyers bombarding enemy airfield at Munda. Smoke rising from shore. Planes drop bombs on land targets and shots of explosions. At the beginning of this there was a map of the Coral Sea showing Rendova and Munda. Interior shot of aircraft with hand on button (bomb release?).
