MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: St Leger, 1943. DESCRIPTION: The last of the season’s classics was run at Newmarket and won by "Herringbone" with another filly "Ribbon in second place". SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. CU horses hoofs racing. Various shots of crowds, including various Services. GS of paddock, shows horses being led round, also jockeys walk into camera. MS of "Straight Deal" & "Tropical Sun". Horses led out of paddock in numerical order, up to start. Start of race, horses out of camera, at swing, cut-in of stands & crowds, horses up the straight & finish. "Herringbone" entering paddock with H Wragg mounted, he dismounts, & GS of "Herringbone".
