- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Corsica Cleared. DESCRIPTION: French forces played a part in driving the Germans out of Corsica, the first "department" of France to be liberated. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Frenchmen on deck of warship. GS of destroyer T33, coming alongside quay, French troops disembarking, marching along quay, also streets. Also with them are Moroccans. Marching past destroyed bridge, very slap dash. Troops clear road obstructions, Jeep drives through into camera. Italian stretcher bearers, also Moroccans carrying stretchers. Travelling shot along roadway, passing Sherman tank. Sherman tank along road in & out of camera. De la Streta bridge blown up.
