MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: New Weapons. DESCRIPTION: Motor Torpedo boats are being built in America and undergoing trials with British crews. A new aerial development is the equipping of "B25" bombers with 75 millimetre cannons. Parachute bombs are another new device. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Various shots of torpedo boats at speed, SV, into camera, one following in the wash on another. GS of officer aboard torpedo boat. Finishing on SV of several at speed. GS of nose of Mitchell bomber. CU of 75mm gun in nose of bomber. Various shots of 75mm artillery being fired on battlefield, fade to 75mm. mounted on tank. Various shots of Mitchell fitted with 75mm. gun firing at target on aerodrome, pilot at controls. Loading Mitchell with 75mm. shells. Aerial shot of parachute bombs falling from low flying planes, very spectacular shots of explosions (mass) planes can be seen flying just above ground, cut-in of American officers looking on at demonstration. GV of mass firing of 75mm. artillery, guns firing, & LS of explosions, again very spectacular. All the above to place in & off America.
