Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Air Offensive - the Debit Side. DESCRIPTION: The United States Eighth Army Air Force, flying from Britain, continues to make sorties over Europe. Some of the action being very fierce when the B17’s arrive back much damage can be seen. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Mass formation of Flying Fortresses (B17), about 100 planes. Various shots of B17’s on aerodrome, some badly damaged, wounded crew being lifted out of plane, on stretcher. GS of skid march of plane left on runway on landing. CU tyre ripped from wheel. LS of B17 explosion, this happening on landing, as it took place behind bushes, could not tell that it was a FF except for dope sheet.
