- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Deep Shelters Opened to Public. DESCRIPTION: Some of London’s deep air raid shelters have been opened to the public. Each shelter has a canteen, sick bay and air is kept circulated by large fans. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Exterior shots (entrance) of Stockwell Deep Shelter, people enter. Interior shots of people walking down the stairs. Shot of bunks in shelter. GV of canteen, people receive drinks etc. Girl attends doctor, another child in bed examined by doctor. GS of main switches, air purifiers & fan. Shot of shelterer talking etc. Group singing "Roll out the barrel". GV tunnel shows people in beds, being tucked in by women wardens. GS of Chief Warden speaking over loud speaker to shelterers, telling them that in one minute the lights will be dimmed etc. Wishes them goodnight. Back to bunks, lights go out, to end.
