Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Driving on in Holland. DESCRIPTION: Troops from the United Kingdom fighting their way into Hertogenbosch made steady progress. Flame-throwers have been proving their worth during the winkling out and mopping up process at the approaches to Hertogenbosch. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. British troops cross field. AFU - British troops fire 25 pounders from fields, entering house, in background fires burn. Various shots of "Kangaroos" (modified Sherman tank). At St Michels, thatched cottages caught fire, collapsed on air raid shelter, British troops dig out Belgian [sic] civilians, women & children. Various shots of "Crocodiles" (flame-throwing tanks) advancing, also throwing flames at buildings. "Scorpions" sweeping road of mines. Various shots of Churchills (carrying fascines - NoSles of wood, which are used for crossing streams). Ruined steeple (church) at Wijbosch, shows Nazi flag flying over ruins, soldier throws same down to ground, troops run to pick same up at end.
