Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: End of Mussolini. DESCRIPTION: In Milan the bodies of Mussolini and his mistress were kicked and abused by Italians. After the mob had been dispersed by firemen their bodies were hung upside down outside a petrol station. SHOTLIST: KS Milan Cathedral. German soldiers in lorries leave city, drive through crowds of jeering people, crowds hit Germans as they pass. Shots of crowds booing etc. Italian with rifle attempts to hit a German with the butt. Crowds gathered in public square, in centre of same lies Mussolini & mistress’s bodies, various of same. Italians kicking them etc. Firemen called in to disperse crowds, play water on them. Shots of Mussolini & mistress hanging upside down, with crowds surging round.
