- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Flame Defence. DESCRIPTION: If the Germans had tried to invade after Dunkirk they would have met a wall of flame. At certain spots around the coast submerged pipes containing fuel would have been ignited. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Waves breaking on the beach, looking out to sea. Elevated shot of oil floating to surface of water, after being pumped through submerged pipes. Electrically ignited, shots of burning fuel mixture. Group shots of jets of flames pointed out to sea, burning. Various pans etc. of fougasse burning.
