MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Freed From the Japs. DESCRIPTION: The latest film from Singapore shows the welcome our forces received from the Chinese Community. Civilian internees had been waiting to be freed and are now receiving the food and medical attention they so badly need. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS GV of crowds in streets. Fireworks going off, crowds wave, cheer etc. At an internment camp, prisoners still live in their huts awaiting return to their country. Various shots of prisoners walking around camp, cooking meals, eating, drinking etc. CU types women and men. Girls walk about camp. MS child who was also a prisoner drinking.
