MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: F/M Montgomery Joins Tank Regiment. DESCRIPTION: Field Marshal Montgomery has recently been appointed Colonel Commandant of the Royal Tank Regiment. He marked the occasion by visiting the First Royal Tank Regiment at Gladon Barracks, Berlin. SHOTLIST: KS Line of Tank Regiment trumpeters playing. Various shots of Monty inspecting men of the Tank Regiment on parade with their tanks. Cromwells. Crusaders etc. Various shots of parade in Gladon Barracks. Shots of marchpast, cut-ins of Monty taking salute. Tanks dip their guns in salute as they pass dais. CU SV of Monty saluting to finish.
