- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Saigon - Trouble Spot. DESCRIPTION: In French-Indo China the Annamites had been fighting the French and the Allies had retained a number of Japanese guards and sentries as a temporary measures. General Slim went to Saigon to deal firmly with the situation. SHOTLIST: KS Elevated shot of street scene. Various street scenes, civilians, British troops walking about etc. Japanese still act as guards, saluting our officers as they pass. Banners in streets read: "Independence or Death", "Down with the Colonisation". General Slim arrives and inspects contingent of Allied men. Elevated shot of Slim amidst group addressing (silent) them.
