- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Japs Put to Work. DESCRIPTION: In Singapore and Hong Kong Japanese prisoners are being put to work, helping to clear the debris of war. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS CU Jap prisoners working. Jap prisoners at Singapore, working in camp, stacking barbed wire, digging, clearing debris etc. Japs take their time. Clearing dirt from drains and clearing waterways. Aerial of Hong Kong. Jap prisoners paraded, guards walk along ranks pushing some about etc. Guards carry fixed bayonets. Jap prisoners at work, carrying cement blocks, moving earth, all is done at the double. Japs searched, all their belongings, they stand stripped looking on.
