- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Gale. DESCRIPTION: Britain has been having stormy weather, in particular the south. In Hastings tons of shingle have landed in the street and Sandgate has suffered a lot of damage. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS GV Hastings promenade, heavy seas breaking over same. Various shots of heavy seas breaking along coast. Men clear shingles away from road washed up by the sea. At Sandgate, various shots of seafront, heavy seas breaking over, seawall breached, houses washed away. Portion of houses floating about. GVs seafront shows heavy seas.
