- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Railway of Death (Burma/Siam Railroad). DESCRIPTION: From Moulmein in Burma to Bangkok in Siam, hundreds of thousands of Chinese, Malays, Burmese, Indians and twenty-five thousand Allied prisoners of war built the "Railway of Death". Thousands died and their rough graves line the side of the track. SHOTLIST: KS GV Railway at Moulmein. Various shots of railway running from Moulmein, Burma to Bangkok, Siam. Passing over bridges made by Allied prisoners, through cuttings, through jungles, over rivers, etc. Jap shows Allied officers where thousands died. Officer looks at map of railway. Various shots single-track railway. Various shots signs indicating where cemeteries are along side of railway. Various shots of hundreds of crosses, graves of Allied prisoners.
