- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Blowing Up Wrecks. DESCRIPTION: The Mersey river has scores of wrecks as the result of German mining activities. The work has now begun to clear them and divers are being used to place the explosives. SHOTLIST: KS GV wreck-ship. GV wreck buoy. Men unloading cases of gelatine from side of ship. Diver prepares to descend; descending and emerging. Taking down cases of explosives. Detonating explosives, two explosion. Seagulls fly around in hundreds await dead fish.
