- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Expert’s Praise for the "Vampire". DESCRIPTION: The "Vampire" recently became the first jet-propelled plane to land on a carrier at sea. The famous American airman and designer, Major Seversky, was invited to take the Vampire up and try her out. He was delighted with the aircraft’s performance. SHOTLIST: KS Flight deck, superstructure in background. GV flight-deck. Various shots of Vampire jet plane landing on and taking off from aircraft carrier "Ocean". Arrester ropes checking landing of plane. CU Major Seversky. Aerial shot of Vampire being being put through it’s paces, banking, diving, climbing, looping-the-loop. Jet lands on aerodrome, taxies and CU Seversky in cockpit, speaks about the British genius, inventions of jet planes, radar, assistance in atom bomb etc., also speaks about the marvellous performance of the Vampire.
