Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Two Railway Crashes. DESCRIPTION: NORTHWOOD - Two Metropolitan trains crashed in dense fog. LICHFIELD - The fish train on the Fleetwood to London run crashed into a passenger train which was stopped in the station. There were about twenty fatalities and many injuries. SHOTLIST: KS GV crashed train at Northwood, material shot under foggy conditions. Various shots of the smashed Underground Metropolitan line train, also wreckage strewn over the lines. Workmen repair track, laying sleepers etc. Lichfield: LS of track shows station strewn with wreckage, also over the tracks. Various shots taken from all angles. Workmen repair the lines. Into camera shot of steam train passing over new track, past wreckage etc.
