Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Muskox Operation. DESCRIPTION: An expedition composed of members of the Canadian Army and Air Force are to explore the North of Canada. At Churchill, Manitoba they prepare to set out for the Arctic. SHOTLIST: KS Train loaded with supplies, motor wagons etc. steams away. All taken in snow covered country. Dog past pulling sled. Elevated group shot of those taking part in the expedition. CU types of clothing being worn again the cold. GV igloos being built and pan of partly built igloos. Plane on ground, engine covered with cloth against cold. Eskimo children tobogganing on runway. Loading drums onto Dakota plane. Plane takes off, and out of camera. Aerial of base where expedition started from. Plane flies low and drops supplies by parachute. Interior of plane supplies being pushed out of plane. Shots of supplies dropping, some supported by two parachutes. Good CU head and shoulders of a male Eskimo. CU Eskimo child. CU Eskimo mother with baby in papoose peeping over he shoulder. Back at Churchill, various shots of fire raging at base, bulldozer advancing on hut burning. Various shots of snow mobiles setting off (type of tank) on expedition, last scene disappearing out of camera.
