Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Paterson V Curran - Flyweight Title (Mute). DESCRIPTION: Jackie Paterson of Glasgow retained his World Flyweight title when he defeated Joe Curran of Liverpool. SHOTLIST: KS Crowd shot at the above. Crowd shots. MS Lord Provost (Hector McNeil) and Lieutenant General Ritchie seated at ringside. Cut-ins of types. CU one spectator drinking from whisky bottle. GV of boxers in ring and fight in progress, referee (Moss Deyong) stops fight and speaks to both boxers (silent). They start fighting again. The two try to evade each other. Paterson seconds deal with his cut eye. Curran knocked down for count almost, in the sixth round, Paterson again knocks him down and the bell saves him from a knock out. Various shots during the fight. Referee announcing Paterson the winner, cut-in of crowds cheering etc.
