- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Us American Farmer. DESCRIPTION: The American Farmer having been holed in the Atlantic and abandoned by her crew, was towed into Falmouth by tugs. A British ship, the Elizabete, took over, but it was another American vessel which actually started her, so what happened at sea is still a mystery. SHOTLIST: KS LS of ships. Aerial views of the SS American Farmer. Various shots taken from air of her and tugs. Good travel shots showing hole on the port side. CU damage. Shots of several of the crew on deck. Master of SS Ranger Captain Johnstone comes ashore with Hance Heather and Mr Kaine. Both say few words into Movietone microphone which is held by Terry Cotter.
