MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Exploding Tnt. DESCRIPTION: In Idaho, America 500,000 tons of obsolete TNT was exploded in one blast, so that they could study the effect. SHOTLIST: KS GV hut (igloo) in which TNT is stored. American army engineers, walk towards camera from igloo. Drive away in jeep, go into shelter. Officer pulls down lever to set explosion off. LS explosion (similar to atom bomb), several different distant shots taken, also CU of same. (Half million pounds of TNT).
