MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Nehru’s Frontier Visit. DESCRIPTION: Pandit Nehru visits the North West Frontier Province of India and during part of his stay was caught up in an ambush of warring tribesmen. SHOTLIST: KS DC4 plane taxies across aerodrome. Pandit Nehru alights, is greeted by Dr Khan Sahib, this is at Peshawar. Elevated shot of capital Peshawar. Trucking shots of convoy of cars winding their way towards and over Khyber Pass. At the outpost Landikotal, Nehru greeted by Lieutenant Colonel Booth, inspects Indian Guard of Honour. GV rugged country. Several shots of countryside. Signpost marking frontier. Sound of whistling bullets. Damaged car of Nehru’s. Indian troops return fire, tanks aim from behind wall (low). Indian cameraman Mohan walks towards camera. At Sardaryab Camp Nehru addresses gathering of Red Shirts. Cut-ins of gathering - audience.
