- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Opening of Parliament. DESCRIPTION: Their Majesties drive through London on a grey November day for the State Opening of Parliament. SHOTLIST: KS Royal procession into camera out of Buckingham Palace. Elevated GV of Royal coach in procession along Mall approaching Horse Guards Parade. Escorted by Household Cavalry. GV Archway of Horse Guards Parade, tilt down to procession coming through, cut-in of crowds, Royal coach out of Horse Guards Parade archway, into Whitehall, out of camera, up Whitehall towards Cenotaph. At Houses of Parliament, arrivals of High Court Judges, Sir Alan Brooke (Field Marshal Lord Alanbrooke), and other high ranking military officers. Beefeaters at Parliament (outside). GV Big Ben at 11 o’clock. Royal coach in procession drives up. Streets lined with Brigade of Guards.
