MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Home Fleet at Exercises. DESCRIPTION: Our cameraman recently sailed onboard the King George V during the Home Fleet exercises. He captured life aboard the battleship which is really like a small town. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Cruiser with sun setting behind same, silhouetting cruiser. Looking stern from bows of HMS King George V. GV ship, Admiral Syfret on bridge. GV bridge. Plaque displaying battle distinctions. Sailors in lifeboat, others haul in ropes, others marching along deck. Petty officer looks through sextant. In engine room, GV dials etc. SCU Petty Officer Arnold, survivor from the Thetis submarine. GV revolving drying machine - laundry stacking clothes, ironing shirts, issuing clean clothes to crew. In bakery, cutting up dough, shaping into loaves, baked loaves. Royal Marines in mess, making fancy clothes, sandals etc. GV KGV superstructure and signal being run up. LS cruiser of Dido class. GV several destroyers, also line abreast destroyers speeding through water. GV Aircraft Carrier HMS Implacable. Beaufighters and Mosquitos mock attacking fleet, several shots of aircraft flying low over ship attacking. GV bridge. GV fleet.
