MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Mersey Collision - Many Cattle Lost. DESCRIPTION: A cattleship coming in from Belfast collided with the Stormont which was bound for Canada with war brides. SHOTLIST: KS GV SS Stormont lying on side. Shots of Stormont on her side, several angles. GV SS Empire Brent which hit Stormont with her bows, tilt down of damaged bows. Several more shots of Stormont lying on side. Various shots of dead cattle in water, other shots show cattle being lifted out of muddy water by crane. GV Stormont high and dry on mud-bank. First few scenes also include Canadian brides disembarking and boarding special buses. Children look through bus windows.
