Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: FA Cup Semi Finals - Liverpool V Burnley. DESCRIPTION: LIVERPOOL V BURNLEY - Blackburn was the venue for this match which ended in a goal less draw. CHARLTON V NEWCASTLE - There were more goals in the game at Leeds, with Charlton winning by four goals to nil. SHOTLIST: KS Crowd shot. At Blackburn various shots of large crowds in grounds. Police assist an over enthusiastic fellow off pitch. Burnley team run out (in dark shorts). Burnley kick off MS. Shots of Burnley attacking, Liverpool defending, seen through goalmouth. Burnley heads ball just over bar. In second half, Liverpool attacking Burnley goal, various shots of play around goalmouth. Cut-ins of crowds. (111ft). . At Leeds (Charlton v Newcastle) GV crowds. Charlton supporters walk round edge of pitch displaying banners etc. Police help to transfer over crowded stand to another, assisted over fence. Captains toss up Charlton kick off. MS Charlton attacking and Dawson score their first. Dawson passes to Welsh and Welsh scores, two up. Newcastle attacking, play around Charlton goalmouth, seen from behind goal, Milburn beats Bartram. Croker runs behind Bartram and heels ball out just before it goes over line. Elevated shot of same. Welsh scores their third, ball rolls into net, with two Newcastle players running after same. Various shots of play, corner kick being taken. Play around Newcastle goal and Hurst scores, ball into camera, through net. Teams go off pitch, some of Charlton’s being carried off by their supporters. (170ft).
