MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Freedom of London for Princess Elizabeth. DESCRIPTION: At the Guildhall Princess Elizabeth receives the Freedom of the City. SHOTLIST: KS Pan of interior of Guildhall, all personalities seated. MS Chamberlain asking who gives the freedom etc. pan to Master Draper who answer the Chamberlain. MS Princess Margaret seated amongst distinguished guests. Princess Elizabeth signs Freeman’s Declaration. Chamberlain shakes her hand. MS elevated Sir Bracewell Smith (Lord Mayor) shaking hands with Princess Elizabeth after presenting her with diamond brooch. Chamberlain leads Princess Elizabeth to mikes, SCU Princess making her speech, cut-ins of audience also pans of same. She refers to the South African Royal Tour, also the regard held by the Dominions and Colonies of the Mother Country. Cut-ins audience clapping and cheering. Amongst the distinguished guests can be seen Mr Eden, Mr Chuter Ede, the Archbishop of Canterbury and of course Princess Margaret.
