MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Boxing. DESCRIPTION: AUSTRALIAN CHAMP MEETS DEFEAT - In Sydney, Vic Patrick is defeated by American Freddie Dawson. FRENCH CHAMP RETAINS TITLE - In Paris, Villemain retains his European Welterweight Title by defeating Peyre of Italy. SHOTLIST: AUSTRALIAN CHAMP MEETS DEFEAT - KS GV ring with boxers and referee. GV ditto. GVs Vic Patrick (Australia) and Coloured American Freddie Dawson in ring break when Patrick has Dawson on ropes. MS Dawson sticks his tongue out at Patrick, who then lands a punch on him. GV of fight. MS Dawson knocked through ropes then struggles to his feet. GV fight. MS Dawson knocks down Patrick who is down as referee counts eight, then Dawson knocks him down over ropes. GV fight stopped and seconds into ring. CU Patrick in his corner. GV Patrick carried from ring. WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP - KS MS boxing. Several shots M Villemain (France) and M Peyre (Italy) sparring. Various shots of fight. Villemain knocks Peyre down in eighth round. Peyre kept fighting back, but in the end Peyre is again knocked to the floor, his seconds throw in the towel. SCU Villemain & Peyre.
