MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Berlin Crisis. DESCRIPTION: Russia having interfered with her Allies’ access to Berlin, British trains were stopping at Helmstedt and passengers transferred to buses to continue their journey. Aircraft were also being used to fly in people and supplies. SHOTLIST: LIBRARY MATERIAL - Ruins of Berlin. People queuing. AA guns pointing skywards. Russian policewoman controls traffic. Russian troops in victory march in Berlin. Russians march past the Brandenburg Gate. (All this material was taken from card 45836). CRISIS - Passenger train passes through railway cutting towards and out of camera. Train into Helmstedt Station. People alight and walk along platform. Buses lined up outside station, British troops stand guard. People board buses.
