MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Henry Cotton’s Third Open. DESCRIPTION: At Muirfield, Henry Cotton won the British Open Golf Championship by five strokes. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Cotton holds Cup. GV Muirfield Golf Course. GV crowds walking across course. MS the King walking across course. SCU Henry Cotton drives off. MS crowd. MS Cotton and his wife walking across course. MS Cotton driving. MS Cotton taking two hits to get out of bunker. Cut-in gallery watching, Mrs Cotton sitting on her stick. Cotton makes final putt, pan with ball which falls into hole, crowds (unseen) cheering. GV scoreboard. Mr and Mrs Cotton looking out of pavilion window. Cotton receives Cup. Cotton speaks, I don’t smile much, but inside I’m very happy. CU name Carlekemp School. Cotton arrives boys stand around him while he takes out the Cup to show them, they cheer. GV boys dancing Scottish reels around Cotton who is holding the Cup.
