MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Olympic Time Draws Near. DESCRIPTION: At RAF Uxbridge the Olympic flag is raised, for the camp will house many of the competitors. At Wembley the new road is opened and Lord Burghley hoists the Olympic flag. SHOTLIST: KS Elevated GV billets at Uxbridge. Mr Jeffrey de Freitas inspects RAF Guard of Honour. GV Olympic flag being hoisted. SCU de Freitas speaking and handing over RAF depot to Olympic contestants. Marchpast by RAF into camera (x3). Elevated GV billets. SLIP PAN GV Olympic Way with Wembley Stadium in background. Mr Barnes (Minister of Transport) cuts the tape across the roadway. CU Union Jack being pulled off sign Olympic Way. CU Olympic flag being hoisted by Lord Burghley. Elevated GV cars along Olympic Way towards stadium.
