MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Long Range Weapons. DESCRIPTION: A Testing Centre for rockets has been set up in the Australian desert. SHOTLIST: KS MS passenger plane. Aerial - press & newsreel reporters seated in plane, looking down at barren country below. Official goes round plane, pulling down blinds. MS Pimba Railway Station. MS sign ‘Pimba’. Sign reads Beware of Engine. GV single line railway track. MS building under construction. MS Lt General Evetts and Brigadier Edgar (in uniform). Maps of the countryside etc. Various tools, rollers etc. being towed over the land to churn same up. MS rocket starting his flight and crashing a little way off. LS explosion. SV supersonic rocket speeding along rails and crashes into target, same exploding. Into camera and under camera - rocket along rails, almost too fast for eye to follow.
