- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Guards Leave for Malaya. DESCRIPTION: The Guards march through London to Waterloo Station, then at Southampton aboard the Empire Trooper, en route for Malaya. SHOTLIST: KS Guards march across Westminster Bridge, Big Ben in background, carrying their rifles, few wives and girls walk with them. SCU Guards marching past camera, with wives & girls. Interior Waterloo Station, Guards march into same. Boarding trains. Several goodbyes, kissing, embracing etc. Train draws out of station, into & out of camera, panning. FADE Guards board SS Empire Trooper, up gangway. Cut-in name of ship on bows. Elevated GV Guards on deck of ship. Mr Shinwell onboard walks down companion-way to lower deck. Several shots of guards shaking hands with Shinwell. Ship pulls away. Cut-in waving on quayside. Ship pulling away to the sound of Auld Lang Syne. Regiments - 2nd Guards Brigade, 2nd Coldstream Guards, 2nd Scots Guards, 3rd Grenadier Guards.
