- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Armistice Day & Rain. DESCRIPTION: The Cenotaph ceremony was a sombre affair and the weather meant that attendances were smaller. SHOTLIST: CUT STORY: KS Elevated GV Cenotaph service. Crowds arrive in the rain. SCU types standing in rain with umbrellas up. Elevated GV crowds walk along Whitehall. Back view crowds during silence (hats off). SCU Churchill & Attlee with hats off. King walks out & takes his place, salutes. CU Duke of Edinburgh in naval uniform. Princess Margaret, Duchess of Kent, Princess Alexandra and Queen Mary on balcony of Home Office. MS Big Ben at 11 o’clock. GV during sounding of Last Post. King lays wreath & salutes. Duke of Edinburgh lays wreath & salutes. Attlee lays wreath. Churchill lays wreath. GV elevated singing O God our Help in Ages Past. Royal Marines sound Reveille. GV marchpast to old tunes.
