MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Berlin Today. DESCRIPTION: Present conditions under which Berliners have to live felling trees for firewood during the winter, business people work under difficulties having supply cuts in power etc. Children being evacuated from Berlin by the RAF. SHOTLIST: GV ruined buildings (skeleton). Germans felling trees in wooded area. Several shots of chopping into logs. German women carry tree trunks away. Pulling trunks and branches on small trolleys. People reading barter exchange notices outside building. Two German women exchange shoes. Men exchange shoes and jackets. Interior old woman darning socks. CU women ironing clothes. Exterior shot of mansion. German comes out with large chrysanthemum, wheels same off on trolley. Hairdresser performing in street. German adults and children gather by buses. Children board bus and wave to parents. Buses movie off. Children walk across Gatow Airport to plane. Plane taxies and takes off.
