Summary
General Sikorski arrives in the Soviet Union and is met by Monsieur Kotz, the Polish Ambassador to Russia, the Vice Chairman of the Council of People’s Commissars and the Vice Commissar of Foreign Affairs of the USSR. Received by Mikhael Kalinin, President of the Supreme Soviet. Visits one of units of Polish Army being formed on Polish territory. Soviet Government awards Order of Lenin to British Squadron Commander. Russian ski-troops harass the retreating Nazis. City of Tula almost surrounded by Germans, but the manufacture of weapons continues. Turning out skis and small arms in a Moscow factory. A tank repair depot. On the Eastern Front, Russian Cavalry recapture towns. The Russian Winter drives the Germans back. Soviet Airforce lead the offensive against the Rhine [sic] Army. Village after village is recaptured. Scenes of devastation after two offensives on a town; German dead and half-frozen German prisoners.
