- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: England Wins Calcutta Cup. DESCRIPTION: At Twickenham, England regained the Cup, by routing Scotland nineteen points to three. SHOTLIST: KS Teams run onto field. Crowd scene. Duke of Edinburgh introduced to teams. Crowd shot. GV kick off. Kennedy (England) makes a dash down the wing, but steps over touch, before placing ball down on ground behind Scotland’s line. MS line out. MS of three quarter movement. Kennedy along wing & scores a try. Cut-in Duke watching. MS van Ryneveld scores a try. Try converted by Travers. Wilson (Scotland) kicks & scores a penalty. Crowds cheering. Van Ryneveld scores another try. Travers hits upright when trying to convert. Scotland start a three quarter movement, intercepted by England who run away with ball, Hosking forces his way over line & scores a try. Travers converted. GV Cannell breaks through & just before being brought down by the line, passes ball to Dicky Guest who goes over to score a try. Crowds. Final score shown on scoreboard 19-3.
